The SG Rover Table is part of a larger project called Super Giunto, an experimental work on how 70Materia's surface materials can be made structural using a metal grid, resulting in an innovative decorative material. The metal grid not only allows the surfaces to be self-supporting but enables seamless surfaces that can extend both horizontally and vertically with the continuous grid concealing any seams or connection points.
For the Orbita Module take-over, the novel and robust Super Giunto material with its technical precision grid, transports the kitchen module far beyond the domestic landscape. Off-road wheels suggest the futuristic and extreme terrains that the module might encounter, while the deep chocolate hue of the seminato creates contrast with the metallic grid.
