Dramatic and playful, Sprite is a handwoven rug, made in collaboration with cc-tapis, showcasing CARA \ DAVIDE's foray into textile design. This debut piece, presented at Highsnobiety's 'Not In Milan' multimedia festival of culture running alongside Milan Design Week, explores a dynamic rhythmic visual, reminiscent of an 8-bit graphic blown up out of proportion.
The alternating tones of pastel hues, a study of sweet contrasts, offset the pixelated black border, whilst the occasional "glitch" adds an unexpected touch of whimsy. The rug is handwoven with jacquard looms in India with 100% Himalayan wool.
